Packages Tailored for Schools
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the attractions that we are now able to offer yourselves and your pupils at Heatherton.These packages will enable you to provide fun and exciting new challenges that will aid pupils to enhance their key skills.
These activities have been developed specifically for school groups and comply with all relevant health and safety legislation; risk assessments and standard operating procedures are available on request as are copies of staff training and assessments.
You can mix combinations of the packages to ensure a rewarding confidence building day is had by all that will teach new skills and help co-ordination. Facilities include a new 2 storey purpose built lodge that includes 2 teaching rooms, conference facilities plus cafe.
Tree Tops Trail Adventures
The Tree tops Advbenture Trail is a system of inter connecting rope and wood bridges each ending in an exhilarating zip line through the woods. The series of progressive challenges will convey to pupils that they have the ability to face new challenges and try their best to succeed.
We have two sets of courses to cater for a wide range of ages and abilities.
The Junior Adventure Trail participant requirements are for children over 1.1m tall. to partake in the other High ropes adventure Trail you must be over 1.4m tall and 10 years of age plus.
Schools Vertical Assault
The aim of the schools vertical assault is to get one of your team members to the top of our pole climb. To do this you must first win the coloured climbing holds by completing the following tasks
1 - In groups climb Jacobs Ladder for each rung a member of the team stands on they will receive one bomb! you need as many as possible.
2 - Climb to the top of the tower and launch yourself on a bombing raid. Try and score points by getting your bomb in the barrel or target area.
3 - For every ten points you score your team can choose one colour of the climbing holds on the pole climb The more points you get the more holds you can choose!
Orienteering Challenge
The Orienteering challenge is a fun and enjoyable activity for all, it will challenge your pupils to a range of tasks, which involve both physical and logical skills. the pupils are divided into teams and given a scenario to perform.
The Orienteering challenge is a learning activity which uses many different skills drawing from many different subjects. It promotes group cohesion and teamwork and is also great fun.
The scenario can combine elements such as the mission, swamp crossing, leaky pipe, alpha challenge, jigsaw challenge and crack the safe.
The packages can be combined and tailored to meet your specific requirements you can also combine them with Heathertons other school activities.
